Michelle Ferris est une cycliste sur piste australienne, et fut l'une des plus grande espoir australienne dans les épreuves de la vitesse féminine et du 500m à la fin des années 90. Elle fut la principale rivale de la pistarde française Félicia Ballanger, qui l'affronta durant chaque année aux différents championnats du monde et aux épreuves de vitesse des jeux Olympiques de 1996 et 2000. Michelle Ferris n'arriva cependant jamais à battre la française, et remporta uniquement des médailles d'argent.

  • Médaille de bronze au 500 m au championnat du monde de Bogota en 1995 et de Manchester en 1996
  • Médaille d'argent en vitesse féminine aux jeux olympiques de 1996
  • Médaille d'argent au 500 m et en vitesse féminine au championnat du monde de Perth en 1997
  • Médaille d'argent en vitesse féminine au championnat du monde de Berlin en 1998
  • Médaille d'argent au 500 m aux jeux olympiques de 2000
