Le Market Game est un genre de jeu vidéo généralement gratuit et téléchargeable sur internet. Il introduit, parfois de manière subliminale[réf. nécessaire], la marque ou la philosophie de la société productrice du logiciel. L'objectif de la marque étant de développer sa visibilité sur un marché, par l'utilisation de marketing viral.
Pour être efficace un Market Game doit être équivalent en termes de qualité à un jeu vidéo édité et payant, ex : le jeu vidéo americasarmy téléchargeable sur Internet et qui communique pour l'armée de terre américaine, avec le but avoué d'augmenter ses recrutements.
