Louis Rubenstein en 1893

Louis Rubenstein, (né à Montréal en 1862 - décédé à Montréal en 1931) fut champion canadien en patineur de vitesse en 1883 et champion du monde lors du championnat de 1890 en Russie.

Il fut très impliqué dans l'implantation de plusieurs associations sportives montréalaises, canadiennes et internationales. Il fut conseillé municipal du district de Saint-Louis (à Montréal)

Il est membre du Half of fame des sportifs internationaux juifs. Dans le Parc Jeanne-Mance, au coin de l'avenue Mont-Royal et de l'avenue du Parc, on y trouve une fontaine art-déco ayant une inscription apposée à son honneur.
