La Library Company of Philadelphia est une institution à but non lucratif basée à Philadelphie qui s'est progressivement constitué l'une des collections de manuscrits et d'imprimés les plus riches des États-Unis. Parmi les documents les plus célèbres du musée, on retrouve le Mayflower Compact, des collections majeures de pamphlets datant du XVIIe siècle et de la Guerre d'indépendance des États-Unis d'Amérique, des cartes et des séries complètes d'œuvres datant des XVIIIe et XIXe siècles siècle, ainsi que les toutes premières éditions de Moby Dick et Leaves of Grass, qui ne constituent que deux des 2 150 œuvres que Benjamin Franklin a à une époque possédé.
