State Law and Order Restoration Council

State Law and Order Restoration Council (SLORC, en français : "Conseil d'État pour la restauration de la Loi et de l'Ordre") est le nom adopté par le régime militaire birman après le coup d'état de 1988 (déposition du général Ne Win, suspension de la constitution de 1974 et répression des manifestations prodémocratiques).

Le SLORC a eu deux présidents :

  • Saw Maung (18 septembre 1988 – 23 avril 1992)
  • Than Shwe (23 avril 1992 – 15 novembre 1997)

En 1997, à la mort du général Saw Maung, ce terme a été remplacé par State Peace and Development Council (SPDC, en français : "Conseil d'État pour la Paix et le Développement"), sans véritable changement de la nature du régime.
