American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, formé en 1963 de la fusion de l'American Rocket Society (ARS) et de l'Institute of Aerospace Sciences (IAS) afin de faire progresser les arts, sciences et technologies de l'aéronautique et astronautique, et promouvoir le professionalisme de ceux engagés dans ces objectifs.
