James Macrae Aitken (Calderbank, 27 octobre 1908 - Cheltenham, 3 décembre 1983) est un joueur d'échecs écossais. Il a été champion d'Écosse en 1935, 1952, 1953, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1960, 1961 et 1965.

Durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il a participé au décryptage d'Enigma à Bletchley Park.
