Jack Sheppard (4 mars 170216 novembre 1724) était un fameux voleur anglais qui évolua dans le Londres du début du XVIIIe siècle.

Il fut arrêté et emprisonné à cinq reprises en 1724 mais réussit à s'évader quatre fois, ce qui le rendit populaire, particulièrement dans la classe la plus pauvre. Il fut finalement pris, jugé et pendu à Tyburn, après une brève carrière criminelle de moins de deux ans.
