IPG : Identification Pérenne Généralisée des Bovins. L'IPG est un code à 10 chiffres qui est porté par l'animal grâce à des boucles couleur saumon au niveau de ses oreilles et sur son passeport. L'IPG est un numéro unique et qui est délivré par l'Etablissement Départemental de l'Elevage (EDE) du lieu de naissance du bovin, dans les 72 h après la naissance. Dans un registre très différent, c'est aussi Integrative Post Genomics, une conférence internationale qui se tient à Lyon tous les ans: http://ipg.insa-lyon.fr/
