Howling est un personnage du manga Fullmetal alchemist.

Ce qui suit dévoile des moments clés de l’intrigue.

Howling est le père de Kayal, il est le propriétaire d'un hôtel dans la ville minière de Youswell, le métier de minier ne payant pas assez à cause des impôts très élevés que leur fait subir Yoki. Edward, de passage dans la ville avec son frère, décidera de les aider après que Howling lui aura dit que la ville de Youswell est sa ville mais aussi son cercueil. Ed réussira à récupérer le titre de la propriété de la mine à Yoki et le donnera à Howling en échange d'une nuit et d'un repas dans son hôtel.

On revoit Howling plus tard dans la manga lorsque May Chang le sauve lui et d'autres après qu'une des mines se soit effondrée. Il lui parlera alors de Ed, ce qui amènera May Chang à partir à sa recherche.
