La rivière Khabur, Habor ou Habur[1] est une rivière de 320 km de long qui prend sa source dans le sud-est de la Turquie. Son cours traverse l'est de la Syrie où elle rencontre la Jaghjagh avant de se jeter dans l'Euphrate.
La rivière Khabur, avec ses différentes branches, est un petit cours d'eau. Durant la plus grande partie de l'année, la rivière est en fait un oued à sec. Elle était appelée Chaboras dans l'Antiquité.
D'importants sites préhistoriques, tels que Tell Halaf, Tell Brak, Chagar Bazar, Urkish, Tell Mashnaqa et Tell Tuneinir ont été découvert dans le bassin de la Khabur et de la Jaghjagh.
