Giovan Battista Gaulli dit il Baciccio (Gênes, 8 mai 1639 - Rome, 2 avril 1709) est un peintre italien du rococo largement influencé par Gian Lorenzo Bernini auprès de qui il travailla dès 1657 à Rome, où il devint son protégé.

Autant célèbre par ses retables que par ses portraits (sept papes d'Alexandre VII à Clément XI), l'œuvre majeure du Baciccio est manifestement le plafond illusionniste à quadratura de l'église du Gesù de Rome, faisant déborder de faux nuages et des figures hors du cadre.
