Ghulat (arabe: غلت extrémiste, exagérant) est l'adjectif dérivant du nom Ghuluww (arabe: غلاة) (extrémisme, exagération). Le terme est utilisé par les musulmans des courants majoritaires pour décrire les groupes musulmans minoritaires chiites, qui du point de vue de la majorité, exagèrent le statut de certains saint ou membres de la famille du prophète de l'islam Mahomet (le plus courant étant Ali. Ces groupes seraient allés trop loin dans l'attribution de la divinité à une personne, jusqu'au point interdit en islam de l'associer à Dieu.
