Le signal GENLOCK (GENerator LOCK) sert quasiment uniquement en video pro et broadcast. Il s'agit d'un signal émis par un générateur de synchro, une caméra ou une régie pour synchroniser tous les appareils d'un studio : caméras, magnétoscopes, titreurs, mélangeur... Les signaux vidéos sont ainsi tous calibrés sur une même base de temps.
