Gehry Tower est un immeuble design inauguré en 2001 à Hanovre en Allemagne, conçu par le célèbre architecte canadien Frank Gehry.

Historique

Cet immeuble a été commandé par les services des transports de la ville de Hanovre, pour qui Frank Gehry a également conçu un arrêt d'autobus dans la ville. Sa construction a commencé en 1999, pour être inauguré le 28 juin 2001.

Construit en acier inoxydable, la tour est remarquable par son design torsadé conçu par les moyens technologiques les plus avancés d'alors. Pour concevoir cet œuvre d'architecture, une maquette au 1/100eme a été réalisée puis numérisée et importée sur logiciel de CAO pour calculer tous les éléments. Il fut réalisé pour un cout total de 8,5 millions de Deutsche Mark.
