Eddie Robinson, né le 15 décembre 1920 à Paris (Texas), est un joueur américain de baseball qui évolua en ligue majeure de baseball de 1942 à 1957.

Carrière

Quatre fois sélectionné au match des étoiles (1949, 1951, 1952 et 1953) Robinson termine 11e du vote du MVP de l'année 1952.

Il prend part à deux World Series : 1948 et 1955. Il gagne le titre en 1948 avec les Cleveland Indians puis s'incline en 1955 avec les New York Yankees.

Après sa carrière de joueur, il devient instructeur chez les Baltimore Orioles puis responsable de la formation chez les Kansas City Athletics avant d'être nommé manager général des Atlanta Braves (1972-1975) puis manager général des Texas Rangers (1978-1982).

Il achève sa carrière comme recruteur des Boston Red Sox, la seule des huit formations d'origine de la Ligue américaine pour laquelle il n'a jamais joué.
