Advanced Photon Source

41°42′13″N 87°59′17″O / 41.70361, -87.98806 Advanced Photon Source (APS) est l'un des trois plus grands synchrotrons au monde avec SPring-8 au Japon et l'ESRF en Europe. Il est situé à Chicago et géré par le Laboratoire national d'Argonne.

L'utilisation de rayons X à APS trouve des applications dans les domaines de la physique, la biologie, la science des matériaux, la géologie, la géophysique ou encore la chimie.
