Synopsis

Pour faire d'elle la « petite chérie » de l'Amérique, on a changé Daisy Clover. On l'a éduquée, habillée, récupérée. Pour lui tracer son avenir, on lui a inventé un passé. Sa mère excentrique a été enfermée dans un asile, morte pour la société et même pour sa fille. Et sous la houlette du célèbre producteur Raymond Swan et de sa femme, Melora, en cette période des années 1930 où les plus belles étoiles sont celles qui s'épanouissent devant un projecteur, Daisy la sauvageonne devient une star.
