Clifford Odets est un dramaturge américain, né le 18 juillet 1906 à Philadelphie en Pennsylvanie aux États-Unis, mort d'un cancer le 18 août 1963 à Los Angeles.
Il fut marié à l'actrice Luise Rainer (8 janvier 1937 - 14 mai 1940) et à Betty Grayson (14 mai 1943 - janvier 1952).
