Chersonèsos (en grec : Χερσόνησος / Khersonêsos ; en latin : Chersonesus ; en vieux slave oriental : Корсунь, Korsun ; en russe : Херсонес, Khersones) était une cité de Chersonèse Taurique.

Le site de Chersonèsos est aujourd'hui renfermé dans les limites de la ville de Sébastopol, en Crimée (Ukraine). Il se trouve au bord de la mer Noire, à 2 km à l'ouest du centre-ville. Des fouilles archéologiques y sont menées activement.

Chersonèsos fut fondée vers 600 av. J.-C. par des exilés d’Héraclée du Pont.

Elle fut au IIe siècle av. J.-C. sous le protectorat du roi du Pont Mithridate VI (qui régna de -123 à -66) puis après la chute de celui-ci, elle devint possession romaine.

Elle fut par la suite une place commerciale importante de l’Empire byzantin, puis elle fut occupée en 988 par le grand-prince de Kiev, Vladimir Sviatoslavitch.
