The World is Big, également connu sous le titre long The World is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner (traduction littérale de son titre original bulgare Светът е голям и спасение дебне отвсякъде, translittération internationale Svetăt e goljam i spasenie debne otvsjakăde, signifiant à peu près Le Monde est grand et l'on peut être sauvé de tous les côtés) est un film réalisé par Stefan Komandarev en 2008, d'après le roman d'Ilija Trojanow Die Welt ist groß und Rettung lauert überall[1]. C'est un film co-produit par la Slovénie, l'Allemagne et la Hongrie. En 2010, il a fait partie de la liste des 9 derniers films retenus pour la 82e cérémonie des Oscars (films en langue étrangère).
