Somewhere est un film américain réalisé par Sofia Coppola avec Stephen Dorff et Elle Fanning. Le tournage a eu lieu à Los Angeles au studio American Zoetrope en juin 2009. Il est sorti en France le 5 janvier 2011. Il est produit par Fred Roos, Francis Ford et Roman Coppola. Il a gagné le Lion d'or à la Mostra de Venise 2010[1].

Synopsis

Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff), un bad boy d'Hollywood vivant au Chateau Marmont voit débarquer sa fille de 11 ans, Cleo (Elle Fanning).

L'histoire s'inspirerait partiellement de celle de la réalisatrice et son père Francis Ford Coppola[2] : tout comme les Il ne faut jamais parier sa tête avec le diable de Federico Fellini[3] et La Barbe à papa de Peter Bogdanovich[4].

La bande son est produite par le groupe du compagnon de Sofia Coppola, Phoenix.
