Le détroit de Taïwan

La seconde crise du détroit de Taïwan était un conflit qui a eu lieu entre la Chine (RPC) et Taïwan. Ayant débuté en 1958, elle a commencé lorsque l'armée de l'air chinoise a bombardé les îles de Quemoy et de Matsu dans le détroit de Taïwan.

Soutenue par les États-Unis, Taïwan ne faiblira pas malgré la puissance de l'armée chinoise.

Ce conflit s'achève par un cessez-le-feu entre les belligérants.
