Rajiv Kapoor est un artiste indien, né le 12 avril 1978.

Après une enfance à Delhi (Inde), Rajiv se fait connaître en réalisant des musiques de films, à l’époque où on parlait encore à peine de Bollywood. C’est à cette époque d’ailleurs qu’il a rencontré sa femme Rani, avec qui il a monté le groupe les Delhi Basmati. Étoile montante de la scène de world progressiste, le groupe connait un franc succès dans toute la région de Delhi.

Devenu chef de file de ce courant underground, il vit aujourd’hui entre Delhi et Londres, où il est également DJ.

A l’occasion de son nouvel album, Rajiv a appris le français (en phonétique). Ce sera la première fois que Rajiv Kapoor et les Delhi Basmati seront distribués en France.

Sortie prévue le 15 octobre 2010.
