Opération Panzerfaust

L'Opération Panzerfaust (en allemand : Unternehmen Eisenfaust) était une opération militaire visant le maintien du royaume de Hongrie aux côtés de l'Allemagne pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Elle fut menée en octobre 1944 par la Wehrmacht, en réaction aux négociations secrètes menées par le régent hongrois Miklós Horthy à la reddition de son pays à la progression de l'Armée rouge. Adolf Hitler craint alors que le retrait hongrois fragilise les positions allemandes au Sud-Est de l'Europe, alors que le Royaume de Roumanie vient de s'allier avec l'U.R.S.S..
