Les Bejas (ou Bedjas ou Bedawis) sont un peuple d'Afrique de l'Est, l'un des plus nombreux du Soudan où ils constituent 6% de la population^[1]. Une minorité des près de 3 millions de Bejas vivent aussi en Égypte, en Éthiopie et Érythrée.

De nombreux de Bejas pratiquent le nomadisme. Ils sont cependant politiquement représentés par le Congrès Beja.

Culture

Ils parlent la langue beja, une langue couchitique. La majorité des Bejas sont musulmans. Les Bejas pratiquent un danse de combat hamitique.
