Batoche

52° 27′ 05″ N 106° 04′ 14″ W / 52.451407, -106.070595 Batoche, dans la Saskatchewan, est le site de la bataille de Batoche qui en 1885 durant la Rébellion du Nord-Ouest voit s'opposer les Métis de Louis Riel aux troupes canadiennes du major-général Frederick Middleton. La défaite Métis marquera la fin de la rébellion.

Le campement de Batoche, nommé d'après Xavier Letendre dit Batoche fut construit en 1872 par des colons Métis. Il comptait près de 500 âmes en 1885. Batoche fut déclaré Lieu historique national en 1923.
