Babel Rising est un jeu d'action développé par White Birds Productions et sorti en 2009. Il a remporté un vif succès puisque n°1 des classements de l'App Store d'Apple dans un vingtaine de pays dans le premier trimestre 2010.
Il s'agit d'un god game qui invite le joueur à incarner Dieu, et dans son rôle, à empêcher les humains de construire la tour de Babel grâce à une série de pouvoirs qui se rechargent à intervalles réguliers en fonction de leur puissance.
C'est un jeu de scoring et dans une moindre de mesure de stratégie, le joueur doit trouver la balance entre l'utilisation des pouvoirs pour réussir à stopper la progression des humains le plus longtemps possible.
Mises à jour
À noter, l'apparition de modes de jeux additionnels dans la version 1.2, qui ajoutent un mode "Furie" qui oppose cette fois le joueur à des petits diablotins ayant la particularité de résister à certaines catégories de pouvoirs, et surtout d'un mode "campagne" qui permet de faire progresser les pouvoirs au fils de missions.
