2nd II None est un groupe de rap originaire de Compton à Los Angeles, composé de deux cousins, KK (K. McDonald) et Gangsta D (D. Barnett).

Biographie

Avant de devenir rappeurs, les deux cousins furent parti du gang des Bloods.

Leur carrière commence véritablement en 1987, lorsqu'ils sigent un premier contrat chez Profile Records avec DJ Quik, après la sortie de leur The Red Tape. Ils sortent leur premier album en 1991, intitulé comme le nom de leur groupe: 2nd II None sur Profile Records.

Leur second album, Classic 220, signé chez Arista Records, sort plusieurs années après leur premier album, et fut pour la plupart des titres produit par leur ami d'enfance et rappeur/producteur DJ Quik.

En 2008, un de leur album qui devait initialement sortir en 1994 appelé Tha Shit sort sur internet.

Tous les album du groupe furent à leur sortie dans le Billboard 200 et atteignirent tous le top 40 des charts R&B/hip-hop Billboard.
