Yohkoh est un satellite d'exploration solaire lancé depuis le Japon. Il associe des instruments dans les domaines des ultraviolets et des rayons X.
En décembre 2001, une panne a fait perdre l'orientation du satellite pendant l'éclipse solaire du 14 décembre (le soleil étant utilisé comme repère d'orientation) ; les batteries se sont déchargées (par défaut d'orientation des panneaux solaires) et l'opérateur en a perdu le contrôle.
En japonais, Yohkoh signifie rayon du soleil.
