Yigaël Yadin (20 mars 1917 - 28 juin 1984) est un archéologue, politicien et militaire israélien. Il fut chef d'Etat-Major adjoint de Yaakov Dori au sein de Tsahal pendant la Guerre de Palestine de 1948 et lui succède à ce poste en novembre 1949.
Yigaël Yadin est le fils de l'archéologue Eleazar Sukenik (1889-1953) et le frère de l'acteur Yossi Yadin. Un autre de ses frères, Mati Yadin, fut tué au combat pendant la guerre israélo-arabe de 1948.
Il fut, avec William F. Albright, un des principaux représentants de ce que l'on appelle l'Archéologie biblique. Il se rendit célèbre par la fouille de Nahal Hever, sur les bords de la mer Morte et connut une célébrité mondiale en dirigeant la fouille spectaculaire de Massada.
