Le genre Weigela regroupe une dizaine d'espèces d'arbustes originaires d'Extrême-Orient, de la famille des Caprifoliacées selon la classification classique, ou des Diervillacées selon la classification phylogénétique. Plusieurs sont cultivées comme plantes ornementales.
