Vahanga
Vahanga ou Vaega est un atoll du Groupe Actéon dans l'archipel des Tuamotu, en Polynésie française.
Géographie
Vahanga est un atoll rond de 3,8 km2 avec un lagon de 12,6 km2 situé à 9 km à l'ouest de Tenarunga. Il est inhabité.

En 2007, un projet écologique mené par l'Université d'Auckland et la Société d'ornithologie de la Polynésie a eu pour objectif d'éradiquer les rats du Pacifique de l'espèce Rattus exulans ayant colonisé l'atoll afin de restaurer un équilibre biologique naturel pour les différents oiseaux se reproduisant sur celui-ci, notamment Gallicolumba erythroptera et Prosobonia cancellata menacés[1]. Une précédente campagne en 2000 ayant échoué.
