Urbain Bouriant (né le 11 avril 1849, décédé le 19 juin 1903), est collaborateur de Gaston Maspero lorsque ce dernier fonde, en 1880, la Mission archéologique française du Caire, qui deviendra l'Institut français d'archéologie orientale (IFAO).
De 1883 au 1er décembre 1886, il est l'un des conservateurs adjoints du musée de Boulaq, puis de 1886 à 1898, directeur de l'IFAO.
En 1883-1884, Urbain Bouriant réalise une copie du Grand Hymne à Aton, trouvé dans la tombe de Aÿ.
