Le tussack (appelée stipe parfois) est un surnom donné aux touffes d'herbes poussant en prairies humides dans les régions tempérées.

Ce nom regroupe plusieurs espèces appartenant aux familles des graminées des Campanulacées et Cyperacées.

Il existe deux appellations en anglais:

  • Tussock
  • Tussockgrass (herbes à tussack), réservé aux espèces du genre Nassella.

  1. Elle est considérée comme mauvaise herbe au Canada, son importation y est interdite car des graines de stipes dentées étaient présentes dans des lots de semence voués à l'exportation, notamment vers les États-Unis où elle est considérée comme mauvaise herbe nuisible dans 23 États, cela pourrait être dommageable pour l'export selon l' agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments.
  2. Cette dernière n'est pas considérée comme une tussockgrass selon l'ITIS.
