La thyroxine, ou tétraiodotyhyronine, est une hormone thyroïdienne. Il s'agit d'une molécule chirale dont les 2 énantiomères sont la L-thyroxine, ou lévothyroxine (S-(–)), produite artificiellement comme médicament, et la D-thyroxine (R-(+)), de numéro CAS 51-49-0.
