The Venus in Furs

The Venus in Furs est un groupe pop/rock formé par Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, David Gray ainsi que Bernard Butler, Andy Mackay (membre de Roxy Music) et Paul Kimble, membre de Grant Lee Buffalo. Ils ont enregistré cinq titres pour le film Velvet Goldmine de Todd Haynes:

  1. "2HB"
  2. "Ladytron"
  3. "Baby's on Fire"
  4. "Bitter-Sweet"
  5. "Tumbling Down"

"Baby's on fire" est une composition de Brian Eno, les autres chansons ont été chantées originellement par Bryan Ferry du groupe Roxy Music et par les Cockney Rebel (Tumbling Down).

Le nom du groupe provient de la chanson du même nom des Velvet Underground, qui, quant à elle, provient d'un livre allemand du 19e siècle.
