The Huffington Post est un journal d'information américain publié exclusivement sur Internet fondé par Arianna Huffington et Kenneth Lerer et faisant appel à de nombreuses collaborations et sources externes.

Le Huffington Post couvre un large éventail de domaines : actualité, politique, culture, divertissement, médias, religion, vie quotidienne, affaires, etc. Il a été lancé le 9 mai 2005, pour offrir une réponse « libérale » (au sens anglo-saxon, c'est-à-dire non-conservateur) à d'autres sites comme Drudge Report.

Le site est racheté en février 2011 par AOL pour 315 millions USD[1],[2],[3].

Le journal Le Monde a annoncé le 10 octobre 2011 le lancement de la version française du Huffington Post.[4]

Selon Rue89, Anne Sinclair pourrait devenir la «patronne» de la version française du Huffington Post, dont l'ouverture est prévue en novembre 2011[5].
