The Fat Boys était un groupe de hip-hop de Brooklyn qui a émergé au début des années 1980. Le groupe comprenait :

• Mark "Prince Markie Dee" Morales
• Damon "Kool Rock-Ski" Wimbley
• Darren "The Human Beat Box" Robinson

Biographie

A l’origine le groupe était connu sous le nom de The Disco Three. Le nom de groupe a été modifié après une dispute avec leur manager qui se serait plaint des frais exorbitants généré par la nourriture après une tournée en Europe.

Loin de l’image bien lisse des groupes du genre, The Fat Boys se sont fait remarquer par leur côté excentrique et sympathique. Un certain nombre de leurs titres évoquent les plaisirs de la fête, de la nourriture et de la boisson mais aussi les plaisirs sexuels.
