Sublime Porte est le nom de la porte d'honneur monumentale du grand vizirat à Constantinople, siège du gouvernement du sultan de l'Empire ottoman.

Ce terme était donc souvent utilisé en langage diplomatique dans les chancelleries européennes pour désigner l'Empire turc ou la ville de Constantinople, gardienne des détroits.

La ville sera renommée Istanbul dans les langues turques après 1936.

Aujourd'hui, cette Porte sert de mairie pour le département d'Istanbul.
