Sounding the Seventh Trumpet est le premier album du groupe de heavy metal Avenged Sevenfold.

Cet album se distingue des suivants car le style d'Avenged Sevenfold à cette époque, se rapprochait plus du metalcore avec une voix agressive, des passages de batterie à la double grosse caisse très rapides et des passages de guitare très saturés. L'album fut commercialisé le 24 juillet 2001 chez Good Life Recordings[1], avant d'être réédité l'année suivante par la maison de disques Hopeless Records.
