Les Selays sont, dans l'univers de fiction de Star Trek, une espèce extraterrestre originaire de la planète Selay.
Physiologie
Les Selays sont une espèce humanoïde carnivore, d'apparence reptilienne. Leur visage est entièrement recouvert d'écailles, deux larges pavillons cornés l'encadrent. Ils sont constamment en conflit avec la planète voisine des Anticaniens. Il paraît probable que ces deux races soient prédatrices l'une de l'autre.
Histoire
En 2364, les Selays demandent à adhérer à la Fédération, mais leurs relations conflictuelles avec leur voisin Anticanien constitue un obstacle sérieux (voir Star Trek : La nouvelle génération : Le Solitaire - Lonely Among Us).
Technologie
On connaît peu de choses sur leur technologie sinon que les Selays ont découvert la distorsion peu de temps avant leur demande d'adhésion à la Fédération.
Ils utilisent pour se défendre contre les attaques de leurs voisins et ennemis les Anticaniens des lassos émettant une lueur bleutée.
