Le terme Sapa Inca (qui signifie « Inca principal » en quechua), désigne les empereurs cuzquéniens d'origine quechua durant la période précolombienne des Andes. Le premier Sapa Inca est mythique, Manco Capac, fondateur de la capitale du « Nombril » et de la dynastie de Cuzco qui régnera pendant plusieurs siècles sur un territoire immense en Amérique du Sud.
