Dans l'islam, le terme pluriel sahaba (arabe : صحابة, [saḥāba]) désigne les compagnons du prophète de l'islam Mahomet. Le singulier en arabe est « sahābīy » (صحابي se traduisant en français par « ami, compagnon ». C'est une personne qui a rencontré Mahomet, l'a suivi et affermi dans sa mission, et est morte musulmane. Les sahâba sont donc les premiers à avoir accepté et assimilé l’islam puis propagé après la mort de Mahomet.

Les compagnons les plus illustres sont Abû Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthmân et ‘Ali.
