Rozz Williams

Rozz Williams (6 novembre 1963 - 1er avril 1998) était un parolier, musicien et poète, plus connu comme étant le créateur et chanteur du groupe Christian Death.

Rozz Williams est né Roger Alan Painter à Pomona en Californie et fut élevé dans une famille de baptistes avec trois frères et sœurs. A l'adolescence, attiré par la scène punk il commence à jouer dans des groupes locaux.

En 1979, il forme le mythique groupe de deathrock, Christian Death. En 1985, il s'en sépare pourtant, au profit d'autres projets musicaux comme Premature Ejaculation, puis Shadow Project fondé avec sa femme Eva O. Suivront Daucus Karota, Heltir, EXP, et de nombreux projets en collaboration ou en solo.

Il est retrouvé pendu dans son appartement le 1er avril 1998.
