The Rainforest Foundation est une association à but caritatif britannique dédiée à des campagnes pour la préservation des rainforests ou forêts primaires et des droits des indigènes qui y vivent.
La Rainforest Foundation a été créée en 1988 par le cinéaste Jean-Pierre Dutilleux avec le musicien Sting et sa femme Trudie Styler à la demande du chef Kayapo Raoni ; sa première action a été une campagne visant à aider les indiens Kayapo et à défendre leurs droits sur leur propre terre en Amazonie.
L'organisation s'est développée depuis et a étendu son champ d'action à l'ensemble des forêts primaires.
Elle organise un certain nombre d'activités pour rallier des suffrages à sa cause et lever des fonds, comme le Triple marathon, épreuve annuelle de course à pied.
Le bilan 2005 présente des revenus totaux pour l'année 2004 de 536 956 £ et des dépenses totales de 590 699 £ dont 71 % sont liés aux actions caritatives et 29 % sont attribués aux publicités, fonds et administration[1].
