Il a aussi un sister-ship en construction, le Allure of the Seas.
Les paquebots sont construits par les chantiers finlandais d'Aker Yards à Turku.Sommaire
Projet Génésis
Le projet actuel appelé Project Genesis[1] fait état de navires de 220 000 tonnes, 360 mètres de long, 47 mètres de large et 65 mètres de tirant d'air. Pouvant accueillir 5 400 passagers et 1600 membres d'équipage, le total de 7 000 personnes fera d'eux les plus grands paquebots au monde.
Le Oasis of the Seas, d'une valeur estimée à deux milliards d'Euros a été mis à l'eau le 21 novembre 2008 [2]
La livraison du premier navire est prévue pour décembre 2009 et 2010 pour le second.
