Arlington est une ville du comté de Tarrant, dans l'État du Texas aux États-Unis. Lors du recensement de 2000, la ville avait une population de 332 969 habitants, ce qui en faisait la septième ville du Texas. Arlington est située dans le "métroplex" de Dallas et Fort Worth. Selon les estimations 2004, il y a 359 467 habitants.

Sports

Le Rangers Ballpark, stade de l'équipe de baseball des Rangers du Texas est situé à Arlington. Le Cowboys Stadium, la future enceinte des Cowboys de Dallas en NFL dont les travaux ont commencé en 2006, ouvrira ses portes pour la saison 2009 et accueillera le NBA All Star Game en 2010 et le Super Bowl XLV en 2011[1].

Musique

Le célèbre groupe heavy metal Pantera est fondé à Arlington par les frères Dimebag Darrell et Vinnie Paul.
