Un paralégal ou adjoint juridique[1] est un personnel administratif qui travaille sous la responsabilité directe d'un juriste.

De plus en plus d'offres d'emploi françaises utilisent le terme paralégal pour désigner leur cible, citation ou lien, et ce mot est en passe de détrôner ses équivalents français.[citation nécessaire]

Les personnels paralégal se trouvent dans tous les domaines ou l'on trouve des juristes, par exemple : droit pénal, immobilier, administration.

Ils n'ont pas en France de statut particulier, à l'inverse par exemple des États-Unis, où ils sont regroupés en associations et fédérations.
