Ninsun (ou Ninsuna), qui signifie dame de la vache sauvage, est une divinité mineure de la mythologie sumérienne. Elle est l'épouse du roi Lugalbanda et la mère du célèbre héros Gilgamesh. Son culte était rendu à Kullab un quartier d'Uruk. Dans l'épopée de Gilgamesh, où elle apparaît comme reine et non comme déesse, Ninsun apporte conseil à Gilgamesh en interprétant ses réves.

Ninsun est également appelée Rimat-Ninsun, la sage, l'intelligente, l'omnisciente, la grande reine, la vache sublime.
